To mark the 90th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen, the Online Book Company created a unique commemorative book for the country and Commonwealth to leave their birthday wishes and share their memories of the Queen.
The digital book celebrated the Queen’s impressive commitment to charitable causes by raising money for some of the hundreds of charities of which Her Majesty is patron, through the sale of a commemorative medal.
We were enlisted to help spread the word and we helped make the book a significant media story, and a part of the national conversation around the Queen’s birthday. We worked with PR and marketing teams at the Queen’s charities to gather content and develop features highlighting their work and connections with the Queen. We sourced personal birthday messages from a cast of famous faces – including Jamie Oliver, Simon Pegg, Brian May and Dame Kelly Holmes – who helped raise the profile of the book on social media. National treasure Dame Vera Lynn put her name to a letter that appeared in over 130 regional newspapers.
We secured more than 190 pieces of print and online coverage – including 17 articles in national newspapers and magazines including the Sun, Telegraph, the Daily Mail, Woman & Home and Horse & Hound – with a total opportunity to see of over 30 million. In addition interviews about the book aired on five radio stations across England and Scotland.
