It’s often said in PR that no two days are the same and working at Amazon is definitely no exception to the rule. One day you can be brainstorming creative ideas for a new business pitch, the next you’re working with journalists at national papers on a story you’ve been leading on.
The work at Amazon is incredibly varied. Since joining I have helped to organise national media to attend the Lord Mayor’s Hot Air Balloon Regatta, reported the findings of the Affordable Housing Commission’s midway report to national titles and launched a campaign to bring an end to veterans’ homelessness. Working with organisations that we’re all passionate about makes a real difference to your own work.
The Amazon team are fun, smart and very easy to get on with. We make sure we work well and deliver results but also have a good time whilst we do it.
Being able to see your hard work go from concept to reality is what makes work worthwhile. You’re involved from the get-go when a new business brief comes in the door, coming up with ideas for the campaign and being responsible for delivering the results with support from the rest of the team.
