The Margaret Pyke Trust is a leading organisation specialising in contraception and sexual health. We were asked to launch its Thriving Together campaign on the UN’s World Population Day.

Thriving Together brings together over 150 global conservation and health organisations, including Greenpeace UK, Friends of the Earth and Marie Stopes International. It recognises the importance of integrating family planning services as a part of environmental and conservation programmes, one of the most important yet ignored environmental actions.

We developed and delivered a media campaign including messaging and media training. We also oversaw the development of social media assets which included a short film and collateral for the Margaret Pyke Trust and endorsing organisations to use. The video was watched over 6000 times.

Ahead of the launch, we secured an exclusive interview with The Guardian’s Environment Editor and leading environmentalist Dr Jane Goodall, who backed the campaign. We arranged further interviews with Metro Online and the leading international development publication Devex. The story was also covered in South Africa following an interview with the news agency Media 24.

The combined media coverage reached a global audience of over 25.5 million and influenced further sign-ups in support of the Thriving Together campaign.
