Evolve is a leading homelessness charity in London providing supported housing for 2,000 people each year. It delivers a sustainable solution to homelessness through accommodation, support and advice.

Evolve approached us to develop and deliver a PR strategy to increase awareness of the organisation. We started with stakeholder research to establish priority audiences and levels of understanding, which fed into the creation of a strategic plan of proactive and reactive PR activity.

In our first year working together the UK experienced the hottest summer on record. We jumped on the opportunity to highlight the risks the heat posed to rough sleepers, how Evolve was responding and how the public could help. We secured 273 articles with a reach of 18 million, with national coverage in media including the BBC, Telegraph, Sun, Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Guardian, Independent, Time Out and 5 Live.

We approached and secured the support of actor and director Kate Hardie, which we leveraged to generate profile opportunities for the charity.

We also commissioned research looking at the public’s perceptions of homeless people and those sleeping on the streets and released it for World Homeless Day. We secured coverage with a reach of over 3 million in titles including The Observer, Metro, London Live, Londonist, Croydon Guardian and Sutton Guardian.

In the following years we have supported the charity with storytelling activity and media relations for its annual Sleep Out fundraiser and onboarded a celebrity ambassador for upcoming fundraising projects.
